"National Health Survey Research in Neurologic and Ophthalmic Epidemiology" Ali G. Hamedani, M.D., M.H.S. Assistant Professor of Neurology Neuro-Ophthalmology/Movement Disorders Senior Fellow, Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics Perelman School of Medicine University of Pennsylvania Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of visual symptoms from neurologic disease, including optic nerve disorders (e.g. optic neuritis, ischemic optic neuropathy), visual field loss, double vision, abnormal eye movements, unequal pupil size, and eyelid abnormalities. Dr. Hamedani is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his internship and a neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in neuro-opthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania/ Scheie Eye Institute. Prior to medical school, Dr. Hamedani received an MHS in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
